Katsucon: Beautiful venue, GREAT PLACE TO SEE A+++++ COSPLAY, literally 24 hours of nonstop con. I'll mention the cons Ive been to and what I like about them. Again, its a matter of what you're looking for and hoping to get out of it. There are cons like Magfest where they are literally a 3-day video game music festival. Some cons (Like Dragon Con)have programming and panels that cover a wide range of genres. Not to mention, not every con is purely focused on anime. A better question to ask is what cons someone would recommend and why? I cant even say that I have a "favorite" convention since Ive been to different cons and they all have something that makes them memorable in their own way. Every con is different and its all a matter of what you're looking for. Highlighted cons are supermajors with a historical attendance of over 30000 and have significant industry support.
